Sahana Rajesh is a 14-year old freshman at Coffman High School. Hailing from a family with a strong tradition in the Indian classical art, she  has been under the tulelage of her aunt, Guru Suba Ramesh Parmar since she started to walk. She began her formal training in Bharatanatyam under Guru Sunanada Nair in Houston in 2009, and continued her training at Shubanjali under Guru Suba Ramesh Parmar since 2015. She has given multiple solo and group dance performances around the country in Bharatanatyam and Mohiniattam, as well as folk and Bollywood styles, and has won several prizes. Sahana has also pursued her interest in vocal music, training in Indian classical vocal since the age of 5 under the tuleage of Smt. Rajarajeshwari Bhat. She has also been learning Western classical violin since second grade, and is a member of Dublin Youth String Orchestra and Columbus Symphony Orchestra, having performed in several solos and ensembles. Sahana regularly participates in debate, public speaking, and creative writing, and enjoys playing lacrosse for her school team.
