Guru Suba Ramesh Parmar
Guru Suba Parmar, Artistic Director of the Shubanjali School of Performing Arts, is an acclaimed Indian classical dancer, teacher and choreographer in New Jersey. She is a proponent of the vintage Pandanallur/Tanjore style of Bharatanatyam, and the disciple of Kalaimamani Guru Indra Rajan and Pandanallur Srinivasa Pillai, both doyens of this respected tradition. She combines a rare faculty of the arts with passion and experience to bring timeless traditions to mainstream audiences, and her original artistic creations like ‘Santa N’ Shiva,’ ‘Splash the Wonder,’ ‘Chauladevi,’ ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ ‘Lured by the Myths’, ‘Oneness’, ‘Tribute to the Legends’, ‘Tattva Tapas Tejas”, and “TATHASTU” have received rave reviews from critics and connoisseurs alike. Guru Suba Parmar has given over 400 performances and conducted her 85th arangetram in 2017. She is the recipient of many prestigious awards including the U.S. Presidential Scholar’s “Most Influential Teacher Award” in 2015, the Balasaraswati Award of Excellence presented by Muthamizh Peravai, Chennai, India in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the promotion of arts in the U.S., the “New Jersey Naatya Kalanidhi” award presented by the Krishna Vrundavana Temple in 2015 and, recently, the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by Spandana, NJ. Shubanjali School of Performing Arts, her brainchild, celebrated its 25th year in 2017. Shubanjali has won the Outstanding Dance School Award four times in a row, as awarded by the Hindu Temple, Bridgewater at its Annual Festival. Mrs. Parmar has studios in Springfield and Scotch Plains in NJ and in Manhattan, NY, and regularly performs and conducts workshops at Sivananda Yoga centers across the globe.


Guru Swamimalai K Suresh
Guru Swamimali K. Suresh is a nattuvanar, vocalist, dancer, music composer, choreographer and teacher. Guru Suresh hails from a traditional family of musicians. His father and Guru Padanallur P.V.Kalidas is a renowned nagaswara vidwan. His grand father is Pandanallur Sri G.Venugopal Pillai, also known as Periyathambi ,and his great grand father is Pandanallur Sri Guruswamy Pillai, an Ashtavadani. Suresh is a grand nephew of veteran Guru Kalaimamani, Sangeetha Kala Sikhamani Sri Swamimalai S.K. Rajarathinam. Guru Suresh underwent further training in carnatic vocal music from the nagaswara vidwan Thirucherai Sri T.V.S.Sivasubramannia Pillai and from the violin maestro Padmabhushan Sri Lalgudi G. Jayaraman. Guru Suresh is the founder and director of ‘Samarpana Academy of Fine Arts’ in Chennai where he teaches Bharatanatyam and vocal music. He is an ‘A’ grade vocal artist of the All India Radio and 'B' grade bharatanatyam artist of the Doordarshan Kendra. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in music, Master’s degree in Bharatanatyam and a M.Phil from the Madras University. Guru Suresh has been honored with several awards and titles, including the ‘Kanchi Kamakotipeetam Astana Vidwan’ by the Kanchi Shankaracharyar, the ‘Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar by the Sangeet Natak Academy in New Delhi, and the ‘Natya Sangeetha Kala Bharathi’ by the Bharat Kalachar in Chennai.

Shri. Gomathy Nayagam (Vocal)


Gomathy Nayagam started learning Carnatic music and trained rigorously for about five years under the guidance of Guri. Sangeetha Kalanidhi B. Rajam Iyer. He continued his learning by taking advanced training under Smt. Ramani Baskar. He started to sing professionally at the tender age of 13 in the presence of eminent singers like R. Vedavalli, O.S. Thyagarajan etc., He completed his Masters Degree in Music from Madras University in 1999. Initially he accompanied his Guru. B. Rajam Iyer for music concerts and traveled all over India. He has given several vocal concerts in India and Abroad including, USA, Singapore, Canada and France. He has finished his VIII Grade theory of Western Music and is the Certificate holder from Trinity College of Music, London. At present, he is practicing rare songs of Nadha Brahmmam Muthuswamy Dheekshidar. He has been awarded the title of “Sangeetha Rathna”, conferred by Teachers College of Music, Music Academy, Chennai in 1991 and has received further prestigious awards and laurels since then. He has and continues to accompany senior dancers like Padmabhushan Alarmelvalli, Madurai R. Muralidaran, Smt. Meenakshi Chitranjan, Smt. Jayanthi Subramaniam. As an accompanying singer to all these senior dancers, he has travelled all over India and Abroad.

Shri. N. Sigamani (Violin Artist)
Sri. Sigamani received his basic training from his father Sri. Alandur S. Natarajan, an accompanied violinist. He is a professional violinist and has participated in most of the leading music and dance festivals in India and Abroad. He has been performing as a violin accompanist to Bharata Natyam dance for over 25 years. Sri. Sigamani has won awards from major music organizations including the Narada Gana Sabha “Best Violinist” award, “Nada Kala Vipanjee” awrd from Dr. M. Bala Murali Krishna, and “Best Violinist” award from V.D.S. Academy. He is a Honorary Citizen of Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

Shri. Sankarapillai Sunilkumar (Flautist)
Sunilkumar is a graduate of Govt. Music College in Chennai. He was trained under flute vidwan “Kalaimamani” Sri. T.S. Sankaran. He is a soloist of great promise and has accompanied and accompanies many of India’s leading artists, traveling with them in India and abroad.

Shri. Sakthivel Muruganandhan
(Mrudangam Artist)
Sakthivel Muruganandham is a disciple of Sri. Mayavaram G. Somasundaram and Sr. Thiruvaur Bhakthavatsalam. He had special training for dance under Sri. M. Balachandar. He is a leading miridangist in India who accompanies famous dancers like Alarmel Valli, Priyadarsini Govind and others in India and Abroad.
